Premier League Revisited

I should be using this space to talk about how great it is that the All Blacks have won the Bledisloe Cup, and that the ref for our game against the Wallabies really pulled through in those last few minutes. Whether or not people disagree with that, NZ won so shut the fuck up about it already, thanks. Fun fact though: Rugby Australia has written to World Rugby about the incident.

Onto more interesting (in my opinion) sports news, the Premier League is looking more interesting as each match week passes. So, here’s a nice list of shit about the current top ten teams before our attention is turned towards the World Cup in Qatar.

Arsenal: I hate to say it, but the aresholes are doing a tremendous job. Top of the table, talented and threatening. It’ll be interesting to see how the league plays out for them.

Man City: Haaland, Haaland… All the stats so far are in favour of City; right now, KDB has the most assists and Haaland has the most goals. Let’s see if they’ll take another Premier League title this season.

Spurs: Sonny finally has his first Prem goals, and it was a hatrick!! If we don’t pull a “Spursy” and bottle our spot in the top three, I’d say Spurs have a good chance to not be disappointing.

Brighton: At fourth place, they’ve been doing really well. Let’s see if losing their manager will impact their performance.

Man United: After a shaky start to the league, United has stepped up their game. Sancho and Rashford are in form, and Antony is looking good. Up Maguire-less United.

Fulham: Don’t have a lot to say other than well done to Fulham.

Chelsea: I know quite a few Chelsea supporters… lol fuck you man. Of course there’s still a lot of time, and Chelsea plays nice football, so we’ll see.

Liverpool: Anfield and its Scouse supporters are in a sorry state at the moment. Top three is a bit of a question mark for them, but it’s early times so we’ll see if Klopp and his men can change it up and not flop (heh) their chances.

Brentford: They’ve secured a spot in the top ten for now, so good job to them. I don’t know what else to say.

Newcastle: They’re doing a decent job and look well. I don’t watch their games so I forgot that Chris Wood plays for them (up the Kiwis).

There’s a lot more to come in the Premier League, but also keep an eye out for the Champions League and the Fifa World Cup. And don’t hate on me for supporting Spurs, it’s hard enough as it is.
