Slightly Stoned Chef – Issue 9
A baked potato recipe for the baked potato in your life (it’s you my g).
Ingredients:
1 large potato
1 tablespoon of butter
3 tablespoons of shredded cheese
3 tablespoons of sour cream
Method (slightly stoned):
- Scrub the potato, and prick several times with the tines of a fork. Place on a plate.
- Cook on full power in the microwave for 5 minutes. Turn over, and continue to cook for 5 more minutes.
- When the potato is soft, remove from the microwave, and cut in half. Season with salt and pepper, and mash up the inside a little using a fork.
- Top the open sides with butter and 2 tablespoons of cheese. Return to the microwave, and cook for about 1 minute to melt the cheese.
- Top with remaining cheese and sour cream, and serve.
Method (too stoned):
- Tines? Who the hell knew that the stabby parts on a fork were called tines. You can’t find a fork so a spoon will have to do.
- Spend 5 minutes wondering whether or not you can put the spoon in the microwave with the potato. Realise, you in fact CANNOT.
- Do you cut in half lengthwise or widthwise? Fuck knows. Save dishes and use your spoon from earlier to cut the potato in half.
- No one measures their cheese. A handful will do champ. One for the spud and one for you too. The munchies should be kicking in right about now.
- After having eaten fistfuls of cheese dipped in the sourcream, opt for mashed potatoes instead. They’re easier anyway.
