This week has simultaneously been the BEST week for Nexus ‘24 and the WORST week for me, and here’s why:

The Nexus writing crew is here and ready to go! I was already lucky enough to be working with the most legendary design team, but now we have four absolutely amazing writers to keep all of you entertained every time you pick up a mag. I know they’re going to do great things (I’m already so proud of them just for existing). Flick over to our Meet the Team page to see who we are! Fair warning though, there are pictures of us. If you ever catch us lurking around campus, say hi and we’ll either give you stickers, or bite you.

Moving onto why you read the editorial (me), here’s why I’ve had a shitty week outside of Nexus:

  • Firstly, I HAVE HAD ENOUGH. SPURS ARE THE MOST BANTER CLUB OF ALL BANTER CLUBS. WHAT THE FUCK IS UP WITH THIS CHILL FOOTBALL WHEN YOU’RE LOSING THE GAME? AND AGAINST FULHAM? WHAT DO WE THINK OF TOTTENHAM? SHIT! I FUCKING HATE THIS TEAM. This is not targeted at Sonny just because he can do no wrong in my eyes. And no hate to Micky van de Ven because bro is him.
  • The England squad. Don’t even talk to me.
  • The Wahs lost. I don’t care too much about this, but with the Crusaders being shit too, all I can think about is the fact that every sports team I support sucks. And guess what? I support the Maroons. If they lose the State of Origin this year, you genuinely may never see me again.
  • The Jujutsu Kaisen writer is glazing Sukuna and I hate everything about it.
  • Lastly, I thought my brain was going to explode Sunday night. Why? Because my headache decided to go from 1 to 100000000000. And the audacity for my body to make me feel nauseous AND have really bad cramps at the same time? Total and utter betrayal. I’m blaming Spurs.

So there you have it; Nexus is amazing and I hate March. Imagine hating your life outside of work? I’ve truly stooped to a new low this week (ily team). Anyways, I’m so excited for all of you to read this issue! Nexus ‘24 is looking like a special year.

[I’ve paused Naruto Shippuden after pausing Game of Thrones. Why? Because I started watching The Nanny instead. It’s a 90s sitcom, and it’s the only thing keeping me sane at home. I am absolutely in love with Fran Fine, and the butler, Niles, is just the best. I am, however, going back to Naruto soon.]
