Blended – Issue 15
Remember when life was so easy you didn’t even have to chew your food? Neither do we and it’d be weird if we offered you a nipple but we can still help you relive your glory days with this week’s recipes.
Frozen Banana and Cacao Smoothie
- 1 cup of milk
- 1 small frozen banana
- 2 tablespoons raw cacao (raw cocoa powder)
- 2 tablespoons almond butter
- dash of cinnamon
- handful of ice
Blend all ingredients until smooth. Serve cold.
Mean Green Smoothie
- 2 cups spinach
- 2 cups water
- 1 cup mango
- 1 cup pineapple
- 2 bananas
Tightly pack 2 cups of spinach in a measuring cup and then toss into a blender.
Add water and blend together until smooth.
Add mango, pineapple and bananas and blend again until smooth. Serve.
Triple Berry Smoothie
- 1 banana
- 1 cup of frozen strawberries
- 1 cup of frozen blackberries
- 1 cup of frozen raspberries
- 1 1/4 cup of almond milk
- 1/2 cup of Greek yogurt
In a blender, combine all ingredients and blend until smooth. Divide between 2 cups and top with blackberries, if desired.
