Music – Short and Sweet (Sabrina Carpenter) 10/10

Sabrina Carpenter’s latest album ‘Short and Sweet’ is essentially an ovulation album. It’s incredibly horny but still delivered with class. It’s as if she channelled hormonal surge into these tracks, delivering pop bangers and ballads with equal flair. From soaring choruses to introspective moments, the album navigates the highs and lows of love with the finesse of someone who’s definitely had her share of good sex. Knowing that most songs are about beau Barry Keoghan, it sure makes me feel something too. The top track has to be ‘Bed Chem’, with my favourite lyric being ‘Come right on me, I mean Camaraderie’. Sabrina Carpenter could have written Macbeth, but there’s no way Shakespeare could have written that.

Haircare – Super Milk (Lush) 10/10

Not an ad, but I was influenced by TikTok to buy Lush’s ‘Super Milk’ – a fantastic hair product that delivers on its promise of nourishing and detangling. We love a cruelty free, heat protecting conditioning spray that is perfect for all hair types! The smell is what really got me though- almost replicating a vanilla / lemon cheesecake that lasts all day. Literally have never had so many compliments about how good I smell.

Book – Blue Sisters (Coco Mellors) 8/10

Blue Sisters by Coco Mellors is a delightful and witty read that explores the quirks and camaraderie of sisterhood with a fresh, humorous touch. The novel’s sharp dialogue and endearing characters bring to life the ups and downs of family dynamics in a way that’s both entertaining and heartfelt. Mellors’ writing is engaging, effortlessly blending laughter with moments of genuine emotion. The perfect book to take down to the beach. Bonus points for the pretty cover too! (Totally not why I chose it).

Film – It Ends with Us 7/10

‘It Ends with Us’ is a heartfelt and engaging film that takes you on a rollercoaster of emotions. Based on Colleen Hoover’s bestselling novel, it balances drama with moments of genuine warmth and humour. It was confronting in terms of showing the reality of how domestic abuse can happen when least expected and brings attention to the severity of the issue. While it tackles serious themes, the film does so with a touch of lightness that keeps it enjoyable. Not only was the soundtrack banging, but I also cried my eyes out. Would definitely recommend.
