Who are we? What do we do? What is the deal? How do you get involved?

Nexus Soundcheck is the heart and soul of music journalism in Kirikiriroa. We want to be at every gig, reviewing every newly released album, and interviewing the best and most promising local talent. We’ll be in the mosh with you. We’ll be at the shitty open mic nights with you, and we’ll be with you at the merch table buying a CD withour last $10.

With a page dedicated to music each week, we’re here to bring those who love the artform together. We want to connect acts with audiences, uncover the underground, and nurture the music scene we all want and need. The bigwigs upstairs also foolishly gave us a bit of a budget, meaning we’ve already been able to host a week of live music on the village green during O Week, with more live music on campus to come

Each week will have new and wonderful musical journalism with interviews, gig and album reviews, playlists, artist highlights, gig guides, and anything else we can dream up.

So, do you love music? Are you in the music community? (Please, I’ll buy you a beer if you give me a good contact). Or do you make music yourself? If the answer to any of these questions is “Yes” we want to hear from you!!! Email [email protected]
