When I found out that the woman, the myth, the icon Anne Hathaway and his lordship, Jedi Master and Otter Enthusiast Ewan McGregor were the leads in an upcoming film about a random 1970s American-Dream style family getting magically transported back in time to the Jurassic, there was no other option; I was guaranteed to watch that movie. And I’m glad I did. While the movie science was clumsy, everything else about this movie was fantastic. The characters felt authentic, the pacing was perfect, and the dinosaurs felt real. Even the brief comedic beats were timed immaculately, never breaking the tension or spoiling your immersion with the story. There were laughs, tears, gasps and applause from the theater I was in. Okay fine, that was all me, but this is still an absolute must-watch for anybody and everybody; except the assholes who judge everything based on how paleontologically accurate the dinosaurs are. You know who you are, STOP RUINING GOOD FILMS.
