Practice superhuman abilities

Did anyone else do this constantly as a kid? And when is everyone going to admit that we – yes we, I know I’m not alone in this – still do so?? There are only two types of people in this world: people who pretend they’re manipulating the elements (or actually do… I believe you), and liars. I always find myself returning to that inner child-like state of mind on particularly windy days especially. It’s just a fun little thing to do to pass the time while walking somewhere, or sitting on a bench, really anywhere outside. That’s what makes this form of entertainment so great. It’s free and you can do it anywhere! And, I’m gonna be completely honest here, sometimes the flow state hits you and your gesturing actually starts aligning with the elements causing you to genuinely have to reconsider your life path – you’re an elementalist now. Give me all of your valuables #ASAP and run away to live the magical immaterialist life of your dreams.

The only reason that I haven’t given this particular activity the highest rating is due to 1. the disappointment when you realise it’s likely you didn’t just will that gust of wind to materialise, and 2. that you’re an adult and people just saw you swirling your hands around whilst walking through the carpark on campus.

Not only is it good to get out, connect and be present with nature, but what if you’re only one step away from realising you’re the next Avatar?? You won’t know until you try. Plus, it’s free! Nature 1, capitalism 0. P.S. If you do discover that you possess superhuman abilities, report back to me. 10 year old me would be overjoyed to know that the hours worth of superpower videos I watched on YouTube and the days I spent in my backyard trying to control the wind, bodies of water and lit candles weren’t all for nothing.
