Have an interview with yourself in the mirror

Highly recommend. I find myself doing this all the time, and I have done so since I was a kid. Not only is it an imagination exercise, but it can be grounding and help you get to know yourself just a bit better! And let’s be real, who doesn’t like pretending to be a celebrity on your favourite talk show? But the interview doesn’t just have to be show biz. Why not pretend you’re talking to a therapist and vent to the one person you can trust the most not to pass on your woes… your own reflection? Just for this particular review, I sat down in front of my mirror and vented about my day (because who doesn’t need a good rant about the struggles of university life from time to time) and aired my complaints out into the aether. It feels good to just verbalise your thoughts, plus you’re saving, let’s say, $100 or so (because let’s be real, therapy is pricey). The only trouble is that it’s not exactly a neutral perspective playing ground, so be careful that your self-employed therapist doesn’t tell you to take the fate of irritating classmates into your own hands.
