He is a 20-year-old third year that was looking for Miss Right that he could plan his environment around. She is a 19-year-old Nursing student looking for Mr Right now. Was it a love connection? We will let you judge.

PSA: Women don’t owe men anything – but they do owe Nexus at least 200 more words than she wrote!  If House is going to pay for dinner the least you can do is entertain them with a bigger write up. They have to spend the day making fishbowls.

Person 1:

The date went alright overall, my bus there was late so I arrived like 5 minutes late, which was a bit awkward since he’d arrived early. We talked for about an hour and seemed to have a few things in common, such as watching movies and Formula 1 which was pretty nice. We just walked back to the bus station afterwards since it was getting dark too. He seemed like a nice guy but I was really just hoping for a fun experience and he seemed to be looking for something with a bit more commitment. I might just stick to meeting people organically. Anyway, it was a fun experience and thank you for that, Nexus! 😊

Person 2:

It was a nice, clear night in Hamilton. I made my way to House on Hood to meet a girl for a blind date. I took an Uber there, and nervously waited for a while until she turned up at around 7.10pm. She apologised for being late, which was completely fine! We sat down at the table, and the waitress came over to give us some water. The night started off with us chatting about a wide variety of topics, such as movies, music and sport. She was a first year, and she looked very nice. On the movie front, she said that she had seen Avatar: Fire and Ash, which I also had as well at the IMAX in Auckland. We both spoke highly about the current crop of Marvel movies, and we are looking forward to watching the new Avengers film that is coming out at the end of the year, since we both enjoyed Thunderbolts and The Fantastic Four. One of her favourite movies was The Dead Poet’s Society, which was directed by Peter Weir. As someone born in Australia, I felt obliged to mention his other films, such as The Truman Show. After both having some food (she had the mozzarella sticks, and I had the loaded fries), we both ordered a Vodka Red Bull. She wasn’t too eager to try it, but I sipped my one down. After the date, I walked her back to the Hamilton Transport Centre, and said it would be really great to see her again. Overall, a very good night.
