4 Things That Could Improve Campus
So we pay a lot of money as uni students, right – fees, halls, flatting, all that jazz. And we do get a lot of great facilities here at Waikato, but there are some things I think could greatly improve the campus. People high up enough to make these happen, please take notes.
A bubble machine
Imagine having a bad day, walking to class just because you have to, and all of a sudden there’s just a machine blowing bubbles over your head. No way you’d continue having a bad day. It would totally lift the mood of any situation, and let’s be honest, bubbles floating around in the sun throw gorgeous little rainbows. Add some more colour to life.
A constant moving walkway around the whole campus
Let’s be honest, uni students aren’t lazy (or they are), but we’re certainly tired a lot. Especially when you have that 9 am class and it’s between you and a fuck ton of stairs that might as well be the Devil’s Staircase when you’re in that mood. You could just hop on the walkway, have a standing nap on the way, and hop off at your building. Easy peasy.
15 minute breaks instead of 10 between classes
If you have to go to the bathroom, get something to eat, and do other things between, ain’t no way you’re making it in time with just ten minutes. It’s annoying to walk in having missed the very first thing said, so to further expand our opportunity to learn (wink wink), an extra five minutes would be so great.
A student nap room
You get it right? If you don’t live on campus and have a long break between classes, how great would it be to be able to go take a nap? Most of us are running off caffeine and the scraps of willpower. Justice for nap rooms!
