50. Sydney Sweeney
Word count: 40 | Writer: Ruby
Another year, another offensive ad from everyone’s fourth favourite Euphoria cast member. She’s not supporting eugenics this time, but she is setting women back 50 years by stripping down and saying ‘sports’. Sydney, let’s be real, it’s time for a new casting agent.
49. Coldplay
Word count: 40 | Writer: James
To be fair, Coldplay has done nothing of note, that said they are still Coldplay!
48. D4vd
Word count: 40 | Writer: Rebecca
This really needs no explanation. This guy killed his (PREGNANT) fourteen year old (MINOR) girlfriend, put her body in the back of his tesla in a random parking lot, cut off her finger that had his name tattooed on it, and somehow expected to get away with it.
47. That Friend who wont stop telling you how life-changing GTA 6 will be
Word count: 40 | Writer: Ruby
We get it, okay? You’re very excited. But I promise you do not need to bring it up in every single conversation. Committing virtual crime with slightly better graphics will not change your life—touch some damn grass.
46. Kid Rock
Word count: 40 | Writer:
For those of you who regularly touch grass: this is the guy who had his own Superbowl performance because he’s racist and xenophobic and hates Bad Bunny? Idk, regardless, his performance was shit and I’m pretty sure only about 5 people watched it.
45. Bonnie Blue
Word count: 40 | Writer: Rebecca
Bonnie Blue’s bullshit this year has involved; giving birth to a baby that she used to promote her own adult content (what the fuck??), and then holding a crypto auction to pay to name that baby. We need to regulate the internet. This is outrageous.
44. James Charles
Word count: 40 | Writer: Rebecca
This year, James Charles is a Nexus Worst Person® for shitting on someone who needed money. After a fan who lost her job politely shared her GoFundMe, Charles labelled her ‘lazy’ and ‘entitled’ for asking for help. The backlash was enough for him to donate $200.
43. Pauline Hanson
Word count: 40 | Writer: James
Which one of you Australians said this human dumpster fires name in the mirror three times? Congratulations you summoned the ghost of white colonial Australia. Not that modern Australia ever moved on all that far.
42. Enes Kanter and Riley Ganes
Word count: 40 | Writer: james
Ok, Riley Gaines continues to make a career out of losing out on TYING FOR FIFTH with a trans athlete in a State swimming competition while failed NBA centre Enes Kanter is going to WNBA Games saying he wants to compete as a woman. Fuck these grifters!
41. Ryan Bridge
Word count: 40 | Writer:
Ryan Bridge isn’t to blame for getting a morning show. But to have spent the year asking routinely dumb or biased questions while letting season politicians walk all over you is rough. Made much worse by the fact that people like Tame, Tova, and Campbell are genuinely in a golden age of doing it right.
40. Stuart Nash
Word count: 40 | Writer: James
Stuart Nash famously described women as a person with a pussy and a pair of tits. He also said an MP on maternity leave was lazy. In fairness to him, Nash has worked really hard to be expelled from cabinet, kicked out of parliament, lose his private sector job and then get shoved out of a second party before even contesting an election so by that standard everyone else and their one job and stable career must seem like they aren’t trying hard enough.
39. Katseye
Word count: 40 | Writer: Ruby
121 festival appearances, 34 terrible song releases, 2 members down, but have they done anything even kind of important this year? Absolutely not. The cute outfits and campy choreography can’t even distract from it anymore: Katseye is fucking irrelevant.
38. Shane Jones
Word count: 40 | Writer:
Shane Jones is out of touch, condescending and a pompous shadow of his former activist self. His views on race relations and migration are archaic. Butter Chicken Tsunami may not be an apt description of free trade, but it does sound like a dream-hangover breakfast item after a night at the Outback.
37. Nigel Farage
Word count: 40 | Writer:
When you come close to losing an election to a space alien with a bin on his head all to avoid an ethics investigation for the 5 million you pocketed as a gift, it just hasn’t been your year pal.
36. NZ First Youth Leader
Word count: 40 | Writer: Cerys
Finding out that NZ First is entrusting people with neo-Nazi ties with executive positions in its youth wing is like finding a dirty fork in your silverware cabinet: it shouldn’t be there, but you’re not surprised that it is.
35. Nicki Minaj
Word count: 40 | Writer:
Let’s go to the beach, beach. Or a Trump rally, Minaj really changed her mind.
34. Manchester City
Word count: 40 | Writer: James
We only have 40 words for this one so… Fuck you, you cheating cunts. You broke football and we hope they send you down to the conference league. As far as we are concerned Earling Haaland and LANS have now won the same amount of Premier Leagues!
33. Ashley Klien
Word count: 40 | Writer:
You cost Queensland! You cost the Warriors! We are in a blood feud that will transcend the boundaries and understanding of time as a linear construct sir.
32. Everyone in Nicky Hagars book
Word count: 40 | Writer:
You dirty cheating bastards. Maiki Sherman is owed an apology.
31. LeBron James
Word count: 40 | Writer: James
Let it go Elsa. You were never the goat but you were in the conversation before you became the guy who didn’t know when to call time.
30. ed sheeran
Word count: 80 | Writer: Lans
This year, Ed Sheeran became – in the words of Amelia Demoldenberg – the second best red headed puppet with a hand up their arse. Second, of course, to Elmo. A little bitch whose personality trait is the ability to use a loop pedal, being a ginger with a failed rap album, and having shit tattoos, Ed continues to make shit NPC music and now, would rather be complicit in a genocide than against one…
29. All Blacks
Word count: 80 | Writer: Ruby
Boy, have the All Blacks had a year. The 3 to 1 series loss against South Africa, mounting financial pressures from New Zealand Rugby, and the players voting Scott Robertson off of coaching island has all damaged our faith in Aotearoa’s main source of national pride. On top of that, the team’s current injury toll is off the charts, and I’m worried my family’s TV is about to join them on the bench if my dad has to see his boys lose one more time.
28. Brian Tamaki
Word count: 80 | Writer:
Aside from the fact that he seems to be melting like a Madame Tussaud’s wax statue, it hasn’t been a stellar year for Brian. When the intellectual might of Ryan Bridges can catch you in gotcha moments, and the police decide you aren’t a fit and proper person to hold firearms anymore, then something is wrong. Racism and bigotry have always been on brand but it doesn’t seem to hit the way it used to. In fact, thanks to Nationals second Chris, he isn’t even the highest ranked Bishop any more. Oh how the unarmed racists have fallen.
27. Seamus + Neil Quigley
Word count: 80 | Writer: James
Is it just us or is anyone else glad the bromance has run its course? I mean Neil in Toga was almost as good as Neil playing Mario Kart last year but unless they are doing a couples Halloween outfit, we think the bit may have run its course. It does set a high bar for whoever is next though.
26. Logan and Jake Paul
Word count: 80 | Writer: Ruby
What’s up, guys?! The Paul brothers are back in 2026 to punch people, do one-too-many insensitive podcast interviews, and tour the Pentagon!!! In addition to becoming the first, and probably not the last, red, white, and blue-blooded content creators to be trusted with US military secrets, younger brother Jake called Bad Bunny a ‘fake American’ for his Super Bowl performance and Logan called him out for it. Unfortunately, the spat didn’t last too long—I was really hoping for ‘The Fall of Jake Paul Pt. 2’.
25. Salient
Word count: 80 | Writer:
Salient and David Seymour are the only two constants on this list. Why? Because they are both Nexus sworn enemies! What is the difference between the two? One has the Editorial authority of your senile nana, spewing fourth dumb opinions with a childlike understanding of the world. The other is Salient.
24. Eduroam, Moodle & Cadmus
Word count: 80 | Writer: Cerys
The stench of software engineering students is a plague on the world, and not a single graduate has made up for their crimes against universities by making Moodle, Eduroam, or Cadmus usable. Every update to Moodle seems to make it worse. The stories I’ve heard about Cadmus are worse than any horror movie I’m watching for Halloween. Eduroam is so patchy and inconsistent that I’ve had better internet access sitting in a tree than in my computer lab.
23. clavicular
Word count: 80 | Writer: Cerys
If there’s any proof that looksmaxxing isn’t worth it, it’s Clavicular. After smashing the bones in his face to pieces, he only managed to make himself a look-alike of Billy Corgan before he went bald. If he were just making himself look like… that, I’d let his meth use be between him and his rehab centre. But not only is he acting like edtwt on steroids, his recent charges have firmly put him in “awful human” territory.
22. Men who WONT MOVE OUT OF THE WAY when walking on campus
Word count: 80 | Writer: Rebecca
As fresh students took on the Outback Inn, so did a flood of men standing in the way. Why? Does it give them a power trip to stand in people’s way in the middle of a giant crowd? Same with at uni. One more man standing right in my fucking way when I’m late for class will send me over the edge. Do us a favour; move over. You are not cool for doing the mannequin challenge in the middle of the J block hallway.
21. NEXUS EDITORIAL TEAM
Word count: 80 | Writer:
If we hire fewer editors the office will be quieter, he said in what seem famous last words. And with this issue we seemingly say goodbye to at least two of our Editorial staff. You four bought a vision, energy, and volume to the halls of the SUB that will be hard to replicate. You will forever be a part of the Nexus family… But you are the WORST because you had to move on, finish studying, get careers, and largely forget about us.
20. Tech Bros
Word count: 120 | Writer:
Is it just us or is the idea of being a Tech Bro a little played out now? Elon alone was high on the list last year, but apart from being crypto douchebags and both admitting AI will destroy the world while refusing to stop building Skynet, it seems like being a tech billionaire isn’t what it used to be. These guys used to bend nation states to their will; now they are all falling in line with the whims of a tangerine octogenarian in case he writes mean Truth Social posts. We want to see you guys getting back to being genuine douchebags. Come on, Elon, Thiel, Zuck, Altman, we know you have it in you to be higher on this list.
19. The Tax Payers Union + Hobsons Pledge
Word count: 120 | Writer:
Why is it that every corrupt interest group from The Tax Payers Union to the creepy (we assume) Robe-Wearing sycophants of Hobson’s Pledge want to get involved in an election these days? And not to help promote or to fund candidates but to put their (we assume) spindly arthritic fingers on the scale. For people who claim free speech and a love of democracy, they are going about it in a truly weird way. We have a Turning Point NZ now? The actual New Zealand Media, two months out from an election, has to cover the fact that a billionaire toy owner is promoting an electoral strategy of an overhung parliament. What happened to the basics of: Your candidate, my candidate we see whose idea resonates.
18. Ryan Hamilton
Word count: 120 | Writer: Lans
Possibly a highlight of the year for campus goers is seeing which treat the national tagger left us. Question of the day: is Ryan Hamilton a. a racist, b. a cunt, or c. a fascist? Correct! It is all of the above! He discovered the two things every National MP dreams of: a Finance Committee chairmanship and the profound belief that Luxon is doing a good job. Between defending social-media bans and hating immigrants, Ryan has perfected the art of sounding like a press release in human form. He’s spent 2026 doing enough door-knocking to qualify as a Jehovah’s Witness, except instead of salvation, he’s offering another three years of the worst possible government.
17. Trump’s Minions
Word count: 120 | Writer:
There is a case that 16 and 17 could be switched around purely on the basis that the cast of rejects and incels that make up the US Government, Congress and the Judicial Branch have done far more to enable the destruction of polite society than Trump ever could alone. Hegseth created the Ministry of War, then Popularised Toxic Masculinity. Stephen Miller eats mayonnaise as a meal and it may be the least creepy thing about him. Loren Bobert is giving lectures on morality 12 months removed from giving a hand job at a Beetlejuice musical. JD Vance may or may not have fucked a couch. Bessant its out of his death, the best thing you can say about Lindsey Graham is that he passed away before he could do more damage, and Marco Rubio is too busy campaigning for his next job to do this one. Add in the crime family and it makes you throw up.
16. Donald Trump
Word count: 120 | Writer: Rebecca
Whilst Donald Trump has been on his usual warmongering, starting shit that he shouldn’t role, I thought it would be funnier to focus on the stupid stuff that he’s done instead. He called Japan the “Islamic Republic of Japan”, claimed that the Biden administration spent millions “making transgenic mice transgender”, and made a tariff against Canada of all countries… seemingly just for fun? He also famously renamed Lake Ontario to Lake America, which was deeply criticised as being just plain stupid. He also confused India and Brazil in a statement about India’s election, called Greenland (which he famously wants) Iceland, and repeatedly claimed that his father was born in Germany. His father was born in New York City.
15. louise upston
Word count: 120 | Writer: Lans
Louise Upston has perfected the rare political skill of being both everywhere and completely fucking irrelevant. She’s been in Parliament since 2008, which is an impressive tenure considering the only memorable things she’s done is be homophobic. Every time she gets handed a portfolio, it feels less like an appointment and more like National desperately trying to find somewhere to put her. She has the political charisma of a wet cardboard box and the public profile of a substitute teacher. Louise, if you spent half as much time being useful as you do worrying about who other people fuck, we might actually remember you were a minister. Anyway, enjoy another thrilling afternoon in Cambridge.
14. Christopher Hipkins
Word count: 120 | Writer:
While less politically offensive than Luxon this year, this Chris certainly hasn’t missed out on his fair share of negative public attention. Serious allegations about him having an affair with one of his employees surfaced from his wife, which he vehemently denied and claimed were baseless. He gave a State of the Nation speech in February that was completely… empty (for lack of a better word). Some brief and very broad statements around the cost of living, health, and homes were made, but nothing of any real substance was spoken of. Following this, Hipkins continued to make inconsistent claims about taxes, income, and budgeting, because he pretty much had no idea what Labour was going to do this election. A September polling slump saw Labour falling the lowest they had in years, and when asked whether he was concerned for his position as Labour leader, he said he wasn’t. Pretty much, Hipkins has just been fucking useless this year.
13. Christopher Luxon
Word count: 120 | Writer:
Here we have the Premier Asshole of New Zealand politics this year. Perhaps our most out of touch politician, Christopher Luxon has done nothing short of consistently disappointing the New Zealand public all year. Labelling small business owners as being “too reliant” on the government, he contradicted the very foundation of the National party. Luxon’s vehemence to avoid commenting on New Zealand’s involvement in the Gaza Genocide drew public backlash, with a video of a protester being hauled out of one of his conferences while Luxon laughs at them going viral, and exposing him as a coward in the face of reality. The famous 30-second-press-conference also deserves a mention here. After calling an emergency caucus meeting questioning his fitness to run as Prime Minister this election, he stood with his minions in tow, and basically said “everyone likes me so I’m not going anywhere”, and fucked off before he even finished talking. Yeah, because randomly flying everyone into Wellington really screams “everything is fine”.
12. Fragile perfectionism in the political left
Word count: 120 | Writer:
Look, it’s only partially your fault that you’re so addicted to campism. I’m sure the Stalinist or Maoist or Bordigist or Leftcom or Marxist-Leninist-Maoist or Deleuzian or Communizer or Anarchist or Classical Liberal or Trotskyist or Hoxhaist or whatever-the-fuck political hype edit you saw on tiktok really resonated with your soul, but while you’re on Twitter or in an Instagram groupchat arguing about whether protesting or rioting is a more poignant manifestation of class struggle, a guy who went to Saint Peters Cambridge and sells tidal waves of utter plastic cow-shit is putting HIS praxis into practice and lobbying for the ACT party. I don’t care about how you interpret Marxo-Hegelian dialectics our water is full of actual cow-shit.
11. Mattie Westbrouck and onlyjayus
Word count: 120 | Writer: Lans
This year, Mattie Westbrouck and OnlyJayus proved that apparently the only thing stronger than their relationship was their collective inability to keep it off the fucking internet. What began as a breakup quickly became TikTok’s answer to the Hague, with cryptic posts, and alleged receipts. Nothing says “healthy separation” quite like millions of strangers analysing deleted TikToks frame-by-frame. Onlyjayus somehow managed to make Mattie look worse than Sedona Prince, news flash, being abusive is bad but being abusive to underaged people is a whole different story. I guess Onlyjayus was sick of all the hate they were getting that they had to drag Mattie through the mud even if they’d been broken up for years before this shitshow unfolded.
10. PAUL HENRY
Word count: 120 | Writer:
Paul Henry has taken perhaps the most surprising move this year, going from a right-wing television presenter to an ACT candidate. For some reason. He was asked on radio Hauraki to rank Hipkins, Luxon, and Peters on a fuck, marry, kill scale, and said he’d kill Hipkins and fuck Peters. I think that says enough. The 2010 incident where he said governor-general Anand Satyanand didn’t “look or sound like a New Zealander” was brought back up, and he asked to move on from it, claiming there wasn’t a single racist bone in his body. Also, as a quick little addition, he called primary school students “little shits”. Taking all of this into consideration, he’s probably a great ACT candidate, because I can’t remember the last time they gave a fuck about migrants, children, families, or anyone other than themselves and their boyfriends (aka. the leaders of all of the other right wing political parties).
9. The Government
Word count: 120 | Writer:
If incompetence was a coalition agreement, this Government would have a majority.
Nicole McKee has spent so long defending guns that we’re starting to wonder if “Minister of Courts” was just a typo for “National Rifle Association spokesperson.”
Simeon Brown apparently saw public transport and thought, “You know what this needs? Less of it.” His war on buses is impressive — mostly because he seems determined to make getting anywhere without a car a character-building exercise.
Brooke van Velden has done more damage to workers’ rights than most people manage in a lifetime — and somehow still calls it “workplace relations.”
And Fees Free? Scrapped. Because why make university affordable when you can make students financially literate through trauma?
A truly inspirational team.
8. Putin
Word count: 120 | Writer:
Putin’s failures this year have been less embarrassing and more a harrowing reflection of how he leads his country and his military. Following the continuation of his war on Ukraine this year, Putin has lost approximately 35,000 troops, which is considerably more than he can re-enrol each year. His belief that power lies in military conquest has failed his country, and if he continues this way, the country will slowly drop off as he chews through more and more of his people who are thrown into his military. In response to the continuation of Russia’s conflict in Ukraine, they have absolutely bombed the fuck out of Russia’s oil reserves, and if there’s anything Putin cares about in this world, it’s his oil. Domestically, people in Russia are pissed. Huge rallies retaliating against the communist party have been staged, with people expressing visible discontent at the state of the country under his leadership.
7. Casey Castello
Word count: 120 | Writer: Lans
Casey Costello has spent 2026 getting on the wrong side of every possible human being. This woman is a Parliament rat in the truest sense: if there’s a colleague to grass up, a controversy to feed, or a microphone within five metres, Casey will be there. And when she’s not ratting on people, she’s busy proving that apparently you can be both a politician and deeply suspicious of people who weren’t born here. Her xenophobia is astonishing considering she can’t stand for Te Tiriti either. She had the privilege of meeting Nexus and absolutely blew her shot, no chance we’re voting NZ First.
6. Benjamin Netanyahu and Aipac
Word count: 120 | Writer: Lans
Oh, would you look at that: Netanyahu and AIPAC are still committing genocide in Palestine. Despite the ceasefire announced in October 2025, Israeli airstrikes, shelling, and ground operations have continued, with Palestinian civilians still being killed and displaced. The UN reports that around two-thirds of Gaza remains inaccessible or under severe access restrictions, while 94% of the population remains in urgent need of shelter and basic household assistance. Homes, hospitals, schools, and essential infrastructure have been destroyed, while shortages of food, medicine, clean water and shelter continue to worsen conditions. And behind every statistic is a person: a child who will never go home, a family searching through rubble, and parents trying to explain to their children why there is nowhere left to return to.
5. Giani Infantino
Word count: 200 | Writer:
Gianni Infantino has somehow made Trump’s capitalist ass water breaks seem reasonable during the FIFA world cup. As president of football’s governing body, you’d think his primary concern would be football. Instead, Infantino has spent the year perfecting the art of treating human rights as an inconvenient halftime interruption.
Under his leadership, FIFA continues to hand major tournaments to countries where questions about migrant workers, LGBTQ+ rights, and freedom of expression apparently rank somewhere below “How nice is the stadium?” on the list of considerations. Because nothing says the beautiful game quite like building beautiful stadiums through conditions that are considerably less beautiful.
From expanding tournaments to squeezing more money out of football’s biggest events, his solution to every problem seems to be making football bigger, longer and more profitable. FIFA has never exactly been shy about its billions, but under Infantino, football increasingly feels less like a sport and more like a multinational corporation that occasionally happens to involve a ball.
For presiding over football’s transformation into a billion-dollar circus where ethics are apparently an optional extra, Gianni, congratulations: you’ve made the 50 Worst. Kick-off is yours. The moral high ground, unfortunately, is not.
4. Winston Peters
Word count: 200 | Writer: James
Winston Peters was born BEFORE the allies declared victory over Germany in World War II. That is a context that needs to be applied. This man served as our Foreign Minister AND Deputy Prime Minister. Whilst we don’t know of anyone who agrees with Winston Peters or would vote for him it is clear that he still has a hold on a demographic of people that vote and in truth there was a time in the not too distant past when the writing staff of Nexus would eagerly await his sardonic wit on budget day as he made fun of David Bennett or James Shaw.
The truth is plain though, time comes for us all. While Winston used to be a firebrand of all the populist things the left hated he has slowly become a cliché of old man spewing nonsensical bullshit. You can forgive the smoking in smoke free places, the occasional stumble and misplaced name but telling people to go back to their own country, accusing China of lying like a flat fish, and thinking the cure-all for a cost of living crisis is to buy back the BNZ show that it is time for our longest serving (1978) politician to join a bowls club and let the kids have a go.
3. Erica Stanford
Word count: 200 | Writer: James
Erica sure has come a long way in the last three years. Back then, at just the tender age of 45, she was fronting for the campaign at the youth debate. Now she has completely broken the Education system while being largely ignored by Associate Minister Seymour, whom she claimed doesn’t regularly meet with her. She is launching reviews into everything which probably shouldn’t be at third year on the job kind of move. And she is steadily removing the impact of Te Tiriti while claiming she doesn’t know how NCEA works.
The only thing worse than all that is that she allegedly took two shots at the top job, missed both times and then hid behind Chris Penk while claiming she doesn’t comment while in the airport, when she was asked why she didn’t back Luxon the previous day.
There will come a time when we have to reckon with the OIA dodging and the “Jacinda of the Right”, but is that all her fault? On some level we have all acted like it was normal that our Minister of Education has an employment CV that lists Producer on Noise Control, Last Chance Dog, and a script doctor for Piha Rescue.
2. Seven guys from Cornell (and the fifty others on the groupchat)
Word count: 120 | Writer: Lans
There really are no jokes to make for this. Victims are systemically failed by the system when it comes to violence and sex crimes. What makes the Cornell group chat so fucking disturbing is not just the behaviour of the seven men involved, but the sheer number of people who were apparently willing to sit alongside it. Fifty other people were in that group chat. Fifty people who had the opportunity to recognise something was wrong, to say something, to intervene — and instead, the conversation was allowed to continue. It is easy to look at cases like this and imagine that sexual violence is committed by some distant, monstrous “other”. It is much harder to confront the reality that this kind of behaviour can exist in ordinary social circles, surrounded by people who know each other, go to class together, party together and apparently see nothing worth stopping. The most disgusting part is how familiar this story is. Victims are expected to report, prove, explain, relive, and defend themselves, while perpetrators and their friends are too often afforded silence, excuses and the benefit of the doubt. And disappointed is an understatement at how a university could handle such a crime.
1. David Seymour
Word count: 350 | Writer:
And so we reach the inevitable conclusion, where once again we find ourselves making the case that David Seymour is still the worst person in the world. We will admit it is getting harder to separate the things that give him a permanent parking space on this list as the years seem to roll into one another. This year, however, he is the Deputy Prime Minister, which makes us actively question when this clusterfuckery will end. It would be easy to run the laundry list of charges and policies that are actively intended as dog whistles for prejudice, and odds are, if you have been reading this year, we will have spent a long time prosecuting that case.
Instead, this time we want to focus on the magic trick, the grift that is David Seymour, which is a house of cards.
Seymour has always been like a robot who observes and replicates human behaviour but tries and fails to emulate what makes people human. Instead he uses inclusive statements to trick you into believing his starting point is reasonable and those who disagree with him a wrong. He also tries and spectacularly fails to present himself as the smartest person in the room. He will present these arguments like they are already codified in law. And then you watch how defensive he gets when he gets challenged. Much like the Free Speech Union, Seymour doesn’t believe in free speech he believes in his right to have his voice heard.
That is why when you watch him being taken apart by Moana Maniapoto on Te Ao you start to see the illusion melt away and be confronted with the real David. When asked about her views on the treaty Moana listed scholars and thought leaders, judges and more who had a body of work. When the question was reciprocated, Seymour said: “I talk to a lot of people.” When Mihingarangi Forbes did a deep dive into his background and occasional American accent, he questioned whether she should get funding.
In this issue we talked about Sam Neil, Jools Topp, Adrian Rurahere, people who actually embodied the best of us. David Seymour is none of those things
Seymour is a con man of the highest order who, underneath the blush and bravado, is just a kid, standing on a soapbox trying to tell you that he is smart and you should listen to him as a substitute for your own judgement
