Aside from the Waikato University handbooks given by your respective schools, with the little jargon filled course descriptions that flies straight over your heads, Nexus figures the naive first year student really doesn’t have much to go by when considering papers.

So we decided to take the power back to the people and do a few reviews on courses that looked ‘fun’. You’ll notice we did not review any Law papers, and that is because, dear readers, they are not fun. They will get you jobs though. We looked for papers that were a bit out of the ordinary, papers that you can actually enjoy turning up to (maybe), or papers that don’t require purchasing the thousand page text book with writing so small you’ll need glasses by the time you’re done with it.

Clubs!

Waikato University has a lot of clubs. Most students have no idea of the vast number there is - it’s frightening.

Nexus decided to contact a bunch of them and ask them a few questions about what they do on Campus. Of the 10 clubs we contacted and offered exposure in the magazine you hold in your hands, only three took up such a prestigious offer.
