THE UGLY TRUTH
I’m just going out on a whim here but aren’t some of the most successful and rich people incredibly hideous?
Again I battle ignorance and I may come across as superficial or vain in that I believe myself not to be ugly, but that’s not what I’m trying to project.
The truth is that amazingly unattractive people do exist, this is only on the exterior I’m sure they have brilliant interiors, and from what I have seen a lot of really terrifying entities are massively wealthy beyond my wildest dreams.
As proof I see photos where we have the person in some of the most lavish and exquisite homes I’ve seen at our general public level.
For example I’ve even been to “someone’s” house and it was breath taking, I mean the house was beyond huge and the add on features! Wow! Swimming pool, Jacuzzi, garage the size of a church, paddock upon paddock, a triple storey house littered with all the finest furnishings you’d expect from the sultan of Brunei (maybe not that excessive), and so many vehicles you’d think they held parking. It was just amazing.
However, I must make a point here, why are they so wealthy? Because they worked hard with business, because they saw through bad people and used their minds, because they studied. But mainly I think the point here is that I am so naïve to think that only the pretty can be successful. Lies.
If you’re feeling ugly you’ve got a good future ahead of you.

Someone was bitchin abot the girl in nexus yesterday and I turned around and it was a dude and I was all “man your gay”. Then he tried talkin to me about how it was sexist for you guys to put her in. But I don’t reckon. He said he was going to write in a letter to complain so I’m gunna beat him to the punch.
Firstly, that guy in my class is a fag.
I don’t reckon its sexist to put a chick like that in nexus. If she didn’t wanna be in nexus, she could just sue you guys. I’m guessing she wanted to be in there or else you guys would be fucked. When I asked the guy if he would care more or less if it was a guy in lingerie, the girl next to him asked if the guy was a babe. Thats sexist.

Wow, just wow. Maybe in the future you should read what my response to your statements are before you write a response to mine next time.
Your first paragraph enough shows me that you are one of those stereotypical "sheep" figures that just (in your words) "have to do is follow instructions".
And what did you say in the first place about new food? having to put effort into "obtaining meat I don't even know if I like?" to which I replied "why should you try anything new?" then you say "I don't try new food often either". The fact that you don't try new food "often" is besides the point. It's that you have tried new food, a lot of new food. Every single thing you have tasted that isn't milk is new. So don't give me the "I'm one of those people who doesn't try new food" reasoning. And the fact that you talk about your "favorite" food clearly once again shows you must have tried several different goods in order to obtain a "favorite" food would it not? Or else it's like saying "this ice cream flavor is the best in world"...well yeah it is to you when you've only tried that one flavor before...
And boy that last paragraph you wrote was a real shocker. You say that "if aliens were clever enough to get our world, they'd already have there own slaves or robots" and then a few lines under that you say "they're smarter than us anyway so I'm sure they'd have better ideas than us, and slavery is our idea". Can you see what's wrong with those two sentences? How can slavery only be "our idea" when you just said "they'd already have their own slaves" which indicates they must know what slavery is for them to have slaves. Again, wow.
And in response to Dan. You say there is a difference between cows and shellfish as cows have brains and shellfish don't, which is true, so then we should treat them differently should we not? yes they are both animals but it's the fact that we know cows have brains and yet we treat them as if they don't, that is what I am getting at. It's not so much the point that they are "animals" although that covers the large majority of my discussion but rather that they have brains and thus can suffer. So if all other animals didn't have brains and didn't realize the world around them and couldn't suffer then it would be fine, but its not that way.

Dear fellow readers of Nexus,
I was sitting at the university, that’s right sitting, when I suddenly thought: why is there always such pride and sometimes anger between different genres in the world of music? As long as I can remember I have been arguing that my favourite bands are better than those of some of my friends, but it usually resolves in a stalemate. So I put the question out there to fellow readers, is there actually a supreme genre of music out there?
I write this lettuce with inspiration, listening to my favourite music; this usually involves some kind of metal or rock played at a high volume. But not all people include metal in their music of choice. For instance, pop music carries a much higher fan base and for what, a high pitched female with a soundboard as the band. At least pop music has some sort of skill involved, whereas the lesser genre of rap features fast talking, something most of us do when we are nervous anyway. However no matter how hard I mention the factors of metal which make someone like me almost climax upon listening, my friends still prefer their own genres. Why is this? Metal and Rock both have bands of members playing instruments with great skill, it far surpasses any other genre of music.
I would have to say when it comes down to it music is very personal, it reflects upon our mood and our state of mind. So maybe it shows our personality at the same time. But I still can’t get my head around how some have the love for shit genres like rap; I guess some people just feel sorry for it. So I have slammed various genres without breaking a sweat and have probably sparked the fuse for world war 3, battle of the bands. Please reply, I need to know what kinds of people like what kind of music for what kind of reasons!?

I don’t know how to feel about the picture of Rawinia Judson in the Nexus. Sure, she’s a babe. Any girl with enough balls (pardon the term) to get up and decide she’s confident enough to go in Nexus can’t be anything BUT a babe. Confidence is what makes people hot.
Is Nexus going to base the babe-ness of the girls in their mag on how pretty they are, or on how rad they are? Please tell me it’s the level of radness? Prettiness is fine, but babeness is better.

To my dearest male-friend Grath,
In India, we have this saying, " Mata, Pita aur Guru " , which translated (and in the right order, from most important) means, Mother,Father and Teacher. Why? From when we were younger, it's what we've been taught, respect your mother, your father and finally your teacher; the person who spends hours with you, teaching you the ways of the world (aside from your parents of course).
It would be right to say that women in India and most eastern countries (where culture, religion and social norms carry weight), are under the constant scrutiny of society. In India, certain religions, do not allow women to enter temples if they've got their periods. In some cultures in India, every time a girl gets her period, she is separated from her family & not allowed to eat/sit in the same room as them for that time of the month (my mum went through that). In some cultures, sons are favoured more in poor families because sons bring in the money through hard-labour. We're raped, married off sometimes without our consent, we go through "the bleeding", we do the housework and raise families and we're still disrespected. (Not saying it's always women - but the majority). Though, that is all changing, this is exactly why that saying above carries so much importance, because WOMEN go through all this and so they DESERVE respect.
But why am I spending my precious time telling you this? You spend hours (or minutes) writing up a rant about how "scary" it is to face women with periods. There are women around the world (especially from cultures such as mine) that face this type of trauma everyday. You freak out that"at any given day, guys are surrounded by females who potentially want to case them physical harm" (which obviously is a bit of an exaggeration), a woman can be surrounded at any given time by men, who could cause her physical harm by using her as a pleasurable need.
I understand if eastern countries have such ideals. Although its beginning to change now, the reason why this all started was due to the lack of education and knowledge these countries have. They're poor and only have social ideals and norms to grab on to. Whereas I wouldn't expect someone like you, who I'm sure is brought up in a western culture, to rant off about girls and their "hormone-crazed psychotic blood fiends" (as you call it.). Why? Because in western countries, women are given equal rights and we're educated and choose to move away from social norms and think for ourselves. You can deal with work-stress, you can deal with stress at University and I'm sure you've got problems of your own. But you find it crucial to let the world know how unfair and scary it is that you're experiencing such suffering? Poor you. My love, Grath, your mum must have tolerated you for just as long (or even longer), your tantrums, your desires and your needs. Sure you're out doing your own thing, but you weren't always up on your own feet were ya? You're freaking about about our mood swings, during our "time of the month" , the ones suffering the most is us. Physically and emotionally. And those 9 months of "a hormonal female that's ready to rip your head off?"..try shoving a baby out of your hole and keeping it inside you for that long. The fact that you're so ignorant about what goes on on our side, is actually what's "fucking scary".
No, bleeding is not a fun thing and sure, you face angry women who are upset and emotionally unstable. But you also enjoy watching them strip, and enjoy having them around as friend, and surely at some point when you have a girlfriend you will enjoy giving her what "you've got".
To end, buddy, although its unfortunate that you're experiencing this (I feel for you) and choose not to see the other side of the coin (and can't be the slightest bit tolerant), i'd like to add that had we women never had our periods, you wouldn't have been here to cry your heart out to the Nexus.
